GMC is governed by a volunteer board of directors composed of one or two representatives each from the Georgetown Clergy Association, Georgetown University, and each participating congregation. GMC also has a representative from the Georgetown Business and Professional Association, the Citizens Association of Georgetown, and a formerly homeless person on the board of directors.
GMC's daily activities are managed by a paid staff consisting of a director who divides his time among clients, program development, and staff supervision and training: a full-time program manager: a part-time office manager; a consulting psychiatrist; three shelter staff; and, a part-time office person. GMC also employees two to three AmeriCorp volunteers for street outreach.
